OpenSign Configuration

These values are stored as secure environment secrets — never exposed to the browser.

Current Secrets

The following secrets are configured in your app environment. To change them, update them in the Base44 dashboard under Settings → Environment Variables.

OpenSign API Key

OPENSIGN_API_KEY

Your x-api-token from OpenSign Settings → API Token

Template ID

OPENSIGN_TEMPLATE_ID

The objectId of your tutor agreement template in OpenSign

API Base URL

OPENSIGN_API_BASE_URL

https://app.opensignlabs.com/api/v1 (production) or sandbox URL

Webhook Secret

OPENSIGN_WEBHOOK_SECRET

Optional secret to validate incoming webhook requests

Webhook URL

Configure this URL in OpenSign under Settings → Webhooks. OpenSign will POST events to this endpoint when documents are signed or declined.

[your-app-domain]/api/functions/opensignWebhook

Replace [your-app-domain] with your actual backend functions URL from the Base44 dashboard → Code → Functions → opensignWebhook.

How to get your Template ID

  1. Log in to app.opensignlabs.com
  2. Go to Templates and open your tutor agreement template
  3. The Template ID is in the page URL after /template/
  4. Copy it and set it as the OPENSIGN_TEMPLATE_ID secret
